Diving into the Tablet World

So, I have been doing a lot of research on tablets as I am looking to have something to bring with me to school to entertain me on my long breaks in between classes. I was using my iPhone for a while but the amount I was using it in between classes was leaving me with a dead battery at the end of the day. Why don't I just use my laptop in between classes? Well I have an older laptop so not only is it pretty slow (it hasn't aged well), it is also really heavy. With all of the notebooks I carry around with me plus lugging around that laptop it made my backpack ridiculously heavy. Thus I started looking into the tablet and ultra-book market. After looking at the ultra-books that were available I determined they were not what I was looking for. I mainly came to this decision because of the price point for a decent ultra-book. After looking through the current tablet market and what was displayed at CES I came to a decision. I decided to purchase a Nexus 10. What brought me to this decision? Well the price is what I was looking for and the hardware is really good for the price range. I mean if I had the money I would have purchased a Surface Pro. But since I don't have upwards of $1000 laying around I went with the 16gb Nexus 10. So far I am loving it. It is very fast and the app market is pretty decent. It does everything I want. I may consider getting a stylus for it and try out note-taking on it but for now it does everything that I need. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a tablet.

Streaming Woes

It is so hard to get an audience when streaming. The market is so over saturated many people have no reason to give new streamers a chance when there are already established streamers out there. I have been streaming for months and the highest viewer count I have seen on my stream is probably 10. The only reason I had a number that high also was because I was casting a tournament my CSL team was hosting. I really have no idea what I need to do to attract more viewers. The same thing goes with my YouTube account where I upload some of the VODs. I am sure that could easily be fixed once I figure out how to bring viewers to my twitch stream. In the mean time I will keep on streaming with the hope that someone will give me a chance and possibly by word of mouth bring more viewers to my stream.
